merged.in

Know when your feature or bug fix is merged into production.

merged.in is a GitHub App. When a pull request merges, a tag ships or a deploy workflow finishes, it emails the people who asked to know and comments on the pull request with where the change went.

What it watches

Install it on a repository and it follows the events that move code toward production. Each one becomes an email with a subject you can read at a glance.

EventWhen it firesExample subject
Pull requests Opened, merged, or closed without merging. Merges also get a comment on the pull request. [Merged] #57 โ†’ main: Add CSV export
Pushes to deploy branches Branches you map to an environment, plus any branch GitHub marks as protected. [Push] main (3 commits): Fix invoice rounding
Tags and releases Every tag, or only tags matching a pattern you set, and every published release. [Release] v2.4.0 published
Deploy workflows GitHub Actions runs whose name matches your deploy workflow. Failures say so in the subject. [Workflow] FAILED 'deploy' on main

Where it goes

An email to each person who asked

Repository, environment, commit, author and a link to the change, in that order. Each environment links to its URL, so anyone can click straight through to production.

A comment on the pull request

The author and reviewers see where their change went without leaving GitHub.

Set up in three steps

Nothing to run in your pipeline. merged.in reads the events GitHub already sends.

  1. Install the GitHub App

Choose the repositories you want watched. You can add more later.

  2. Check what counts as production

Your default branch is production from the start. Add staging and its URL so testers hear about it too.

  3. Add the people who need to know

They confirm by email, then pick their own repositories and events.

Pricing

100 notifications a month, free.

After that, each notification costs 0.1ยข. 5,000 notifications cost $5. No seats and no per-repository fees.

Recipients stay in charge

Nobody gets mail they didn't confirm. Every notification carries a link to change settings and a one-click unsubscribe, and email clients show their own unsubscribe button too.
